Frequently asked questions
Everything parents ask us about Baby Grow Nursery
If something isn't covered here, please call us on 020 4619 5852 or book a visit — we love showing families around in person.
+What ages does Baby Grow Nursery take?
We welcome children from 3 months through to preschool age (just before they start Reception). Children are grouped into age-appropriate rooms with low key-person ratios so each child is genuinely known.
+What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, all year round except for bank holidays and a short Christmas closure. We offer full-day and part-time sessions, including morning-only and afternoon-only options where availability allows.
+Do you accept the 15 and 30 hours of free childcare funding?
Yes. We accept all government-funded childcare hours, including the 15 hours for 9-month-olds and 2-year-olds and the 30 hours for eligible 3 and 4-year-olds. Our team is happy to walk you through how funded hours apply to our session structure.
+Are you Ofsted registered?
Yes. Baby Grow Nursery is fully Ofsted registered and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Our most recent inspection report is available on request and we are happy to discuss it during your visit.
+What does the settling-in process look like?
Settling-in is gradual and led by your child's pace. We typically begin with two or three short sessions where a parent stays, then build up to longer sessions with the key person. Most families settle over one to two weeks, though we adapt this entirely to each child.
+How are meals, allergies and dietary requirements handled?
All meals and snacks are prepared fresh on site by our in-house cook, with a seasonal menu that emphasises whole foods. We accommodate all major allergies, intolerances and cultural or religious dietary needs — a personal care plan is created for each child with allergies before they start.
+What is your staff-to-child ratio?
We operate above the statutory EYFS ratios: 1:3 for under-twos, 1:4 for two-year-olds and 1:8 for three to five-year-olds. Many of our practitioners hold Level 3 qualifications or above, and our SENCO supports every child's individual needs.
+Do you have outdoor space?
Yes. We have a private leafy garden with mature trees, ride-ons and natural play features, plus daily walks to nearby Bishops Park and the river path. Outdoor time is part of every day, year-round.
+Is there a waiting list?
Demand varies by room and session type. We recommend registering early — especially for baby-room places. Once you register interest we will be in touch within 48 hours with current availability and next steps.
+What are the fees and how do I register?
Fees depend on age, number of sessions and any funded hours that apply. We share a full fee schedule during your show-round visit. To start, simply book a visit through our contact form or call us on 020 4619 5852.
+How do you support children with SEND?
We are an inclusive setting with a dedicated SENCO. We work closely with parents, health visitors and external specialists to build individual support plans, and we regularly host children with a range of additional needs.
+Which areas of London do you serve?
We primarily welcome families from Fulham, Parsons Green, Hammersmith, Putney, Chelsea and Earls Court — anywhere within a comfortable walk, bus or short drive of St Peter's Church, SW6 7JS.
